Arlington Beats San Antonio in Extra Innings | The Arlington Sentinels downed the San Antonio Wranglers, 9-6, at Ballpark of Arlington. The Sentinels were led by Nick Hutsell. Hutsell was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Willie Ayala earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 4-3. San Antonio has now lost 4 in a row.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Hutsell hit a fastball from Mitchell Fetzer for a 3-run home run. The Sentinels, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Sentinels manager David Fields. | | | | |
