| Mammoths Deal Queens 2-1 Loss | Queens Field hosted a real pitchers' duel.
Montreal Mammoths starter Fred Cornett worked his magic, to help his team defeat the Denver Queens, 2-1. Scott Pierce earned the save, his 4th.
Jay DuBois, who finished 2nd in the UL in batting average with .339 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. DuBois contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Montreal up, 2-0.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said DuBois.
Montreal is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 6th in 16 games.
