| Pioneers Swat Toltecs, 11-2 | San Francisco and Leon took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The San Francisco Pioneers beat the Leon Toltecs, 11-2, at Toltecs Field. Cody Cherry, who leads the UL in runs scored with 23, starred for San Francisco. He went 3-4 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. San Francisco is now 14-11. Leon is 12-13.
Cherry made an early impact for San Francisco when he stroked his 11th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came in the top of the third, put the Pioneers on top, 3-0.
"See ball, hit ball. When I think too much, that's when I get in trouble," Cherry told the San Francisco Observer.
