| Firebirds Roll to 8-3 Win Over Mammoths | The Phoenix Firebirds polished off the Montreal Mammoths by the score of 8-3. The largest share of the credit belonged to right fielder Michael Gartman. Gartman was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Firebirds. Phoenix reliever Marcos Aldaco picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Jayden Franklin was tagged with the loss. Phoenix raised its record to 18-17 with the win.
In the first inning, Gartman had a 3-run home run for Phoenix. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Firebirds on top, 3-0.
"Feels good to get the job done," Gartman said after the game.
