Sunrays Popped by Pioneers, 6-4 | The San Francisco Pioneers withstood a fine game by Tampa Bay first baseman Rich Husk at Pioneers Park, to upend the Sunrays, 6-4. Husk belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. San Francisco pitcher Corey Gillis got the win. He's now 4-4. Adam Ogden was tagged with the loss. San Francisco now has a record of 24-13 with the win.
San Francisco took a 6-2 lead on Jermaine Shinn's 7th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Shinn hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Tampa Bay pitcher Adam Ogden visibly frustrated.
