| Montreal Gets 6-3 Win | The umbrellas came out during the Montreal-Denver contest at Queens Field.
The Montreal Mammoths beat the Denver Queens, 6-3, at Queens Field. Montreal right fielder Arturo Lara, who is a three-time All-Star, collected 1 single and 1 double with 1 run batted in. Montreal reliever Jason Silvers picked up the win to move to 2-0. Sean Spotton suffered the loss. Scott Pierce picked up the save for Montreal, his 11th of the year.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Lara hit a run-scoring double off Sean Spotton. It propelled the Mammoths into the lead, 1-0.
"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Lara said. "And the same is true when you lose."
The win has Montreal at 26-45.
