Garcia Excels in 6-4 Leon Win
The Leon Toltecs topped the Chicago Hawks, 6-4, with right fielder Rico Garcia playing a big role. Garcia was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Toltecs in the win. The winner was Leon reliever Scott Benedict, now 5-2. The loser was Manuel Salas. Ryan Struyk got credit for the save for Leon. It was his 18th of the year.

Leon used the timely hitting of Jeremy Hill to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Toltecs on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Hill said.

Leon is last in the United South Division with a record of 37-49.
