| Mammoths Popped by Ducks, 6-1 | The Portland Ducks picked up a win at Ducks Park, taking down the Montreal Mammoths, 6-1. Starting pitcher Leo Marquez was a big reason why. The Ducks, now 41-45, have won 4 in a row.
Francisco Lopez had a big 2-run double for the Ducks in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Portland leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Jayden Franklin and swatted a double to right. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ducks ahead, 5-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Marquez told the Portland Bulletin.
