Toronto starter Angel Lopez pitched well against the Leon Toltecs at Toltecs Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-4. Elias Birriel wrapped it up, recording his 1st save. The triumph makes Toronto 30-58.

Toronto used a timely hit from Jose Olivas to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mounties ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

In postgame comments to the Toronto Herald, Lopez said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
