| Duncan Stars in 8-4 Mammoths Win | The home team was supported by a raucous crowd at Mammoths Field.
Getting offensive support from Brett Duncan, the Montreal Mammoths topped the Chicago Hawks, 8-4. Duncan was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk for the Mammoths. Fred Cornett was the winner. He's now 8-5. The loser was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Stephen Wilkins.
With Montreal leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Duncan batted against Chicago pitcher Stephen Wilkins. Duncan hit a fastball to right-center for a solo home run. His 36th home run of the season put the Mammoths on top, 4-2.
"It's good to win," Duncan told the Montreal Observer. "I like to have fun doing it."
The Montreal win streak is now 3 games.
