| One for the Ages: Gamblers Beat Pioneers on 14th Inning Walk-Off | Corey Gillis pitched well, but the San Francisco Pioneers lost anyway, falling, 4-2, in extra innings to the Las Vegas Gamblers at Las Vegas Grounds. With the win, Las Vegas closed their deficit in the best-of-7 World Series to 2-1. Gillis gave the Pioneers 8.2 innings and allowed 2 runs.
Las Vegas got a knockout punch from Ryan Burnett. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 14th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Winning is contagious," said Burnett. "We're looking forward to the next game."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Las Vegas Grounds in Las Vegas.
