The 2027 season is off to a good start for the Toronto Mounties. The hometown Mounties knocked off the Montreal Mammoths, 6-5, at Mounties Park. Toronto pitcher Steve Tyler paced his team to the win. The win went to Michael Eveland in relief, making him now 1-0. Bob McLendon took the loss for Montreal.

The decisive blow was delivered by Carlos Reyes in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Bob McLendon to win the game for Toronto. The home crowd went nuts.

"When Steve is on, he can really move the ball around," said Toronto manager David Fields.
