| Hawks Deal Mounties 4-3 Loss | Mounties Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Chicago Hawks and Toronto Mounties.
The Chicago Hawks defeated the Toronto Mounties, 4-3. First Baseman Jason Blackwell deserved a large share of the credit. Blackwell went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 for the Hawks. Jeff Slack collected save number 6.
Rogelio Romero, who finished 4th in the IL in triples with 4 in 2025, had a direct impact on the outcome. Romero contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Chicago up, 4-2.
"We take it day by day here," said Romero, "and today was a good one for us."
The win gives Chicago a season record of 14-8.
