| Pioneers Deal Mammoths 5-3 Loss | San Francisco starter Corey Gillis pitched well against the Montreal Mammoths at Mammoths Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. Getting the save was Chris Martin, his 25th. The Pioneers lead the United South Division by 13½ games.
Right Fielder Erik Cyr made an impact for San Francisco, when he swatted a 2-run double off Zackery Stocker in the top of the fifth. For the contest, Cyr went 2-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We did a lot of things right," said Gillis.
